Jesus Rejected Much of the Old Testament
Deuteronomy 7:6: For thou art an holy people unto the LORD thy God: the LORD thy God hath chosen thee to be a special people unto himself, above all people that are upon the face of the earth.
John the Baptist - Matthew 3:9: And think not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, that God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham.
Jesus - Luke 4: 25-27: But I tell you of a truth, many widows were in Israel in the days of Elijah, when the heaven was shut up three years and six months, when great famine was throughout all the land; But unto none of them was Elijah sent, save unto Sarepta, a city of Sidon, unto a woman that was a widow [a so-called Gentile]. And many lepers were in Israel in the time of Elisha the prophet; and none of them was cleansed, saving Naaman the Syrian [a so-called Gentile].
Exodus 33:16: so shall we be separated, I [Moses] and thy [Jehovah] people, from all the people that are upon the face of the earth.
Jesus - John 10:16 And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear My voice; and there shall be one fold, and one Shepherd.

Even the old testament prophet Jeremiah rejected much of the old testament.

Jeremiah - Jer 7:22,23 For I spake not unto your fathers, nor commanded them in the day that I brought them out of the land of Egypt, concerning burnt offerings or sacrifices: But this thing commanded I them, saying, Obey my voice, and I will be your God, and ye shall be my people: and walk ye in all the ways that I have commanded you, that it may be well unto you.
A generous view of the OT - The heart of the law (or at least a very small part of it such as the Ten Commandments less the one about the sabbath) and the Prophets (to some extent) were good. But the OT had been corrupted by nationalistic hubris, and much of it was pure evil.
A not so generous view - The Old Testament and the New Testament represent two completely different religions. The Old Testament is the story of a psychopathic god and his psychopathic people looting, raping, and murdering their neighbors. The New Testament is the story of a universal God with no chosen ethnic people, Who loved us so much that He became one of us and bore our burdens. This universal God commands that we love all others as we love ourselves.
And to think, the judaizers, the so-called hebrew roots crowd, obese adulterer john hagee and the like want to ditch the New Testament and take us back to the old. Let
Why are the judaizers abandoning the New Testament for the old? Here's why. Judaism rejects Christ and is, thus, the religion of antichrist and the new world order. The return to judaism is preparation for the beast system of Revelation.

Note: Jesus does not merely outrank Moses. Jesus outranks Jehovah. Jehovah is an imperfect representation of God, a better representation than Zeus and his fornication and thunderbolts, but still imperfect. In other words, Jehovah falls into the realm of myth. But Jesus, ... Jesus is God.
