Many have tried to identify the antichrist as one individual or another. A few years back, many claimed that obummer was the antichrist. There are even a few who say it is Trump.

This author does not believe that a mere mortal could ever fill the role. Trump is getting old and unhealthy, and much of the world hates him. Obummer is a has-been. Some little leader from Europe or the Middle East could never pull it off. Queen Charles and Macron are a joke. Netanyahoo is losing power and is reviled. Putin would never be accepted.

The Bible, though, gives us clues. The Apostle Paul wrote:

Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; 2Th 2:3

Son of perdition - huios apōleia

Apōleia sounds similar to Apollo, son of Zeus.

And they had a king over them, which is the angel of the bottomless pit [Tartarus], whose name in the Hebrew tongue is Abaddon, but in the Greek tongue hath his name Apollyon. (Rev 9:11)

Many believe that the pagan gods were inspired by real powers. Zeus, Moloch and Baal are Satan. Apollo and the Persian Mithras are somewhat similar, both being associated with the sun, and both able to heal. The Hindus have their sun god, Surya, who is depicted riding a chariot pulled by seven horses. It is possible that all three could be inspired by the same entity. This entity could be the highest demon, just below Satan. (Note: Demons are fallen angels, not the spirits of dead giants as claimed by some.)

Apollo was the god of light, prophecy, and healing, and spoke through the Delphic Oracle. Mithras killed a cosmic bull and was associated with cycles of death and regeneration. Theologically liberal heretics have tried to make Mithras a Jesus-like character, who influenced the New Testament authors.

The fallen angel behind Apollo and Mithras may very well be the antichrist. If so, the antichrist may arise from nowhere with no known background or origin.

Who is the false prophet? I seriously doubt that it is Pope Bob or some leftist mega pastor cult leader. This author believes that the false prophet is also likely a satanic entity.

Dionysus, like his brother Apollo, was known for the gift of prophecy. He was also honored at the Oracle of Delphi. He was the god of wine-making, orchards, fruit, vegetation, fertility, festivity, insanity, ritual madness, religious ecstasy, and theater.

Could these two brother entities, sons of Zeus or Satan, play a prominent role during the Great Tribulation? Maybe so. An unholy trinity of Zeus, Apollo and Dionysus - the dragon, the beast and the false prophet - 666.

The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is. (Rev 17:8)

Remember in Revelation 9 that Apollyon is the angel of the bottomless pit? Apollo is currently chained in Tartarus. He was once active in the world inspiring ancient Greek myth. He is now not active because he is imprisoned. But he will be released for the Great Tribulation and become active again. At the end of the Tribulation, Apollo will be cast into the Lake of Fire. (Rev 19:20)

Did you know that the face of the Statue of Liberty is actually a male face that seems to be based on historic representations of Apollo? It may be that Apollo is a cross dresser. Hence, the major push for lgbt.

If this theory is true, the antichrist / Apollo will be a tall, pretty man, in some ways effeminate, but also physically powerful and imposing; a flamer who is deadly and dangerous. Think of a blonde, taller version of the lead character from the Rocky Horror Picture Show.
